Conference name:
Nation Carbon Action Network One-Day Conference 2010

Summary of conference:
The National Carbon Action Network Conference 2010: We CAN Change - Positive Thinking for a Cooler Planet.

Full description of conference:
The second one-day National Carbon Action Network Conference will be held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on 25 October 2010.

The Conference theme is ‘We CAN Change - Positive Thinking for a Cooler Planet’. and will be a repeat, as far as possible, of the programme of the successful one-day Conference held in London in June. The full and varied programme will focus on how positive psychological techniques can be used to get the right message across in the fight against climate change and fuel poverty, whilst highlighting the traps and pitfalls of poor marketing practices.

This will be the second of several one-day Conferences around the country, however this is the last time this theme will be repeated. The change from the usual two-day conference format of previous years is designed to provide an affordable and inclusive event in a challenging financial climate.

Future one-day Conferences will be as follows:

- October 2010 in Manchester - ‘We CAN Change - Positive Thinking for a Cooler Planet’ (partial repeat of 1 June programme)

- February 2011 in Birmingham - Theme: Networking and workshop focussed (TBC)

- May 2011 date, location and Theme to be confirmed

Previous one-day Conferences:

- 1 June 2010 in London - ‘We CAN Change - Positive Thinking for a Cooler Planet’
